Outside of car seats, it is certainly worth looking at 2nd hand baby toys

furniture, etc. Most of it gets outgrown faster than it gets worn out.

Probably need to pressure wash it and dunk it in bleach before giving it to your own kid. But it would be cheaper at a yard sale or consignment store than to get it all new.
